UX & Product Design

Pragmatic design for complex digital services

Good digital experiences start with understanding the right problem.

We use research, data and service insight to understand what people need, where experiences are breaking down and what needs to be tested.

Then we use the right level of design and prototyping to learn quickly, reduce uncertainty and focus effort where it matters.

Design the right thing

Teams often have more ideas and requirements than they can realistically deliver.

We bring together user needs, behavioural evidence, analytics, business context and delivery constraints to distinguish evidenced needs from assumptions.

The aim is to focus investment before expensive design and development decisions are locked in.

Start with the task, not the interface

Many digital problems begin with structure rather than visual design.

We work across:

  • task and journey analysis
  • information architecture
  • navigation and content structure
  • user flows and interaction models
  • product and experience requirements
  • digital service patterns

Prototype, test and learn quickly

Not every question needs a polished interface.

We use sketches, wireframes, prototypes and, where useful, AI-assisted prototyping to move quickly from an idea to something that can be tested.

Testing helps teams understand what works, what needs to change and what may not need to be built at all.

Methods can include usability testing, concept testing, task validation, navigation testing and accessibility review.

The prototype is a tool for learning, not the outcome.

Build efficiently

Technology, accessibility, operations, content and existing platforms all shape what can be delivered.

We work with product, engineering and business teams so those constraints inform the design early.

We can also help establish reusable design-system patterns and governance so teams can build consistently, maintain accessibility and avoid recreating the same solutions repeatedly.

When UX and product design helps

  • a digital service is difficult to navigate or understand
  • teams need evidence before committing to a solution
  • complex processes need to become simpler
  • a new journey or product needs testing before development
  • an experience has become fragmented or inconsistent
  • teams need to reduce scope and focus on what should actually be built
  • design patterns are being recreated rather than reused

Relevant work

Our UX and product design experience spans telecommunications, government, media, utilities and enterprise platforms.
