Work

Selected work across complex services, products and organisations

Our experience spans healthcare, telecommunications, government, utilities and enterprise digital services.

The work is different in each environment, but the need is often similar: understand what is really happening, establish what matters, and give leaders the evidence and direction they need to move the right work forward.

Healthcare

Turning practitioner experience into a clearer future state and improvement plan

A complex service had developed across teams, workflows and systems, with different parts of the organisation holding different views of where the problems sat and what should change first.

We brought together practitioner experience, service evidence and operational insight to identify where the service was breaking down, understand why, and establish a clearer future direction.

The result was a stronger evidence base for leadership decisions, clearer priorities for improvement and a practical path from findings into planning and delivery.

What we contributed

  • Research and synthesis
  • Service design
  • Future-state design
  • Service blueprinting
  • Prioritisation
  • Delivery support

Telecommunications

Making complex customer, employee and operational services easier to act on

Large telecommunications services span customer journeys, digital channels, internal workflows, platforms and operational teams. Problems visible in one part of the service are often caused somewhere else.

Our work helped make those connections visible, identify where customer and employee experiences were breaking down, and separate the issues that mattered from the surrounding complexity.

That evidence helped teams align customer needs, operational realities and technology decisions, giving leaders and delivery teams a clearer basis for deciding what to change and what to prioritise.

What we contributed

  • Customer and employee experience
  • Research
  • Journey and workflow design
  • Service design
  • Digital product design
  • Prototyping and testing

Government

Turning complex requirements into usable digital services

Our government experience includes web video libraries and webcast services across Australian Government and defence environments, where services needed to support varied audiences while operating within established organisational and technology constraints.

We worked with stakeholders to understand what people needed to find and do, structure complex information and translate requirements into practical web-based experiences.

The work created clearer digital services while giving delivery teams a defined structure and requirements to work from.

What we contributed

  • Stakeholder requirements
  • Information architecture
  • Digital service design
  • Interface design
  • Web video and webcast experiences
  • Delivery collaboration

Utilities

Bringing customer, operational and technology needs together

Utility environments bring together customer services, operational processes, enterprise systems, regulation and large technology programs.

Our work helped translate those different requirements into clearer customer experiences, workflows and digital services, making dependencies and delivery requirements easier to understand across teams.

This provided a more practical basis for aligning experience, operations and technology around what needed to be delivered.

What we contributed

  • Research and requirements
  • Customer experience
  • Workflow design
  • Service design
  • Digital product design
  • Delivery collaboration

Enterprise digital services

Making complex systems easier for people to use

Enterprise platforms often need to accommodate substantial business rules, workflows and technology constraints. The challenge is preventing that complexity from becoming the user’s problem.

We have worked across customer and employee services to understand where people struggle, simplify workflows and information structures, and turn complex requirements into clearer digital experiences.

Research and testing provide the evidence to refine the direction, while detailed design gives delivery teams something practical to build.

What we contributed

  • Research and discovery
  • Information architecture
  • Workflow design
  • Interaction design
  • Prototyping and testing
  • Accessibility
  • Design systems

The work starts with understanding the problem

Sometimes an organisation knows something is not working but does not yet understand why.

Sometimes the evidence exists, but leaders need a clearer view of what matters and what should be prioritised.

And sometimes the direction is understood, but it needs to be translated into a service, workflow or digital experience that can actually be delivered.

We shape the work around that need, building enough evidence and clarity to help people make decisions and move the right work forward.
